Creative Branding: How You Can Make Yours Creative

Creative Branding: How You Can Make Yours Creative

Many people see branding as a boring, corporate depiction of their company which needs to be formal and professional looking.

While branding is essentially how your customers and clients recognise who you are, you can get quite creative with how it looks and there are many successful brands out there who have pushed the boundaries of creativity with their company branding. In fact, you’ve probably already heard of some brands who have included hidden meanings within their logos!

Hidden Messages

One way to get creative with your branding is to incorporate an image or a symbol that relates to your business.

As we’ve already mentioned, there are many companies who have included these hidden messages and meanings in their branding – and they’re not all necessarily noticeable on your first glance! They do subtly help with keeping your branding relevant while looking attractive, though!

For example, the most famous examples of hidden meanings in branding are the logos of FedEx and Amazon.

FedEx actually has a “hidden” arrow in their logo to depict their dedication to speed and delivery – literally showing that your parcels travel from them directly to you. It is located between the E and the X.

Amazon is a little more obvious, although many people still fail to notice the significance of the placement. You’ll have seen the orange curved arrow underneath the name of the company before, but this is exactly where Amazon got creative. The arrow starts at the letter A and ends at Z, showing that you can order almost anything from them – quite literally a to z. The curve also looks very similar to a smile which represents their dedication to customer satisfaction.

Why Be Creative?

The whole point of branding is to make your company stand out and be recognised, so you need to make sure that your branding is unique to your business and the image that you want to send to your potential and existing customers and clients.

Getting creative is a great way to ensure that this happens – after all, we’d not seen another logo like FedEx or Amazon before their branding went live! The more creative you get with your branding, the more unique to your company it will be!

It will also make your branding visually appealing; although there are many examples of typographical text branding out there, it’s important to think about whether it’s best for your company image and message. It needs to be relevant, after all!
